  1. Thanks for upload in your blog.
Interesting part of this post card is...
I got the special pictorial cancellation from Mylapore Head Post Office.(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mylapore)
It depicts the peacock picture in that cancellation. (http://www.indianphilately.net/ppctn.html)
The present name "Mylapore" has been derived from the word "Mayil" meaning peacock. The Punnai tree is adjacent to a shrine in Mylapore is considered as a sacred tree and the aspiring and child less couples tie cradles with the belief that such an act would bless them with a child. The cancellation depicts leaves of Punnai tree and a peacock.
I also affix the two interesting stamps for you. One is Mahatma Gandhi definitive stamp (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mahatma_Gandhi) and another one is Nanda_Devi_National Park. It is a UNESCO Heritage site. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nanda_Devi_National_Park) You may get more details about this stamp on https://touchstamps.com/Stamp/Details/989135/nanda-devi-valley-of-flowers-national-parks
